Terms & Conditions
1. YOUR CONTRACT WITH THE PRIMAVERA STRING QUARTET
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully then sign the form at the foot of this page to indicate your acceptance of the terms and conditions of your booking. If there is anything you do not understand or do not agree with please contact us ([email protected]).
2. BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT
An initial deposit of £100 is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. A binding contract for the hire of the Primavera String Quartet will come into existence when your deposit cheque has been received. The balance of the fee will be payable one week before your event (please make cheques payable to S C CHAPMAN or pay online, details on invoice).
3. CANCELLATION
All cancellations must be notified in writing to the Primavera String Quartet. If notification of your cancellation is received more than six weeks in advance of your event date you will not be liable for the full fee. If notification of your cancellation is received within four weeks of your event date you will be liable for 50% of the full fee. If notification of your cancellation is received within two weeks of your event date you will be liable for the full fee.
In the case of cancellation due to government regulation/advice in relation to Covid-19 where you (the hirer) are forced to reschedule and we are re-booked for the rescheduled date no charge will apply.
4. EVENT DETAILS
Please ensure that you make any additions or amendments necessary to the contract details overleaf. We will endeavour to meet your requests for particular music. If sheet music is unavailable and we have to make a special arrangement an additional arrangement fee will be payable. Please give as much detail of the repertoire you require as early as possible. We cannot always fulfil all requests, particularly those given within four weeks of the date of your event.
5. AVAILABILITY
The Quartet reserves the right to employ alternative musicians to deputise for Quartet members who are unavailable.
6. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Very rarely events beyond our control can affect bookings. When reference is made to such events in these Terms and Conditions this means any event(s) or circumstance(s) which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.
The Primavera String Quartet cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation, costs or expenses where the performance of your contract with us is prevented or affected or you otherwise suffer any loss or damage as a result of events beyond our control. This includes any delays to and/or restrictions to the Quartet.
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully then sign the form at the foot of this page to indicate your acceptance of the terms and conditions of your booking. If there is anything you do not understand or do not agree with please contact us ([email protected]).
- The quartet will require four chairs (without arms) in a performance space no smaller than 3.5 metres squared.
- If you require us to play outside adequate provision for shade from the sun and/or wind and rain cover must be provided. In most cases this means we will need a large gazebo with at least two sides.
- Performing outside is dependent on the weather conditions on the day of the booking and is entirely at the discretion of the musicians involved, as adverse temperatures and damp conditions can damage the instruments.
- Please ensure that there are soft drinks, tea and coffee available for the musicians.
- The musicians will take a 15 minute break after every hour of playing, please feel free to suggest a schedule if you'd like us to take our breaks at other times.
