The Primavera String Quartet brings together four highly skilled professional musicians who love making music together.  Their enthusiasm, energy and vibrancy is infectious and they never fail to enhance the concerts, weddings, civil partnership ceremonies and parties that they play for.  Live music will introduce a scintillating extra dimension to any occasion.  The Quartet will make any occasion a special occasion.

Every performance by the Primavera String Quartet is a bespoke event, designed to suit your needs exactly.  We will help you choose music to suit the atmosphere that you want to create: romantic, dramatic, relaxed, informal, stately.  Our repertoire is enormous and varied from classical favourites such as  Bach’s serene Air on the G String, and his joyful Brandenburg Concerto No 3, to jazz like Pennies from Heaven, Makin’ Whoopee and Let’s Do It.  We have fantastic new arrangements in our repertoire including the Beatles’ Yesterday, All You Need is Love and Gershwin’s unforgettable Summertime.  If you would like to suggest a favourite piece of music which isn't currently on our list we can make a special arrangement for you.  Please contact our arranger Seona Chapman directly to discuss your requirements.

The members of the Quartet live, rehearse and work near Bath and Frome and perform across South West England.  Most of our work is in and around Bristol and Bath and the counties of Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset.

The Primavera String Quartet has performed in a huge variety of settings, from the glorious Orchardleigh Estate, to Wells Cathedral, Rook Lane Chapel and Frome Festival, Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths and The Pump Rooms in Bath.  No setting is too grand or too intimate, we love playing in village halls and churches and of course we have huge experience of playing in marquees and outside for garden parties and private functions.
We are a lesbian and gay friendly group and have played for many civil partnership ceremonies, please contact us or book online here. 
We have an environmental policy which means that: we work with musicians who live close to venues, we share transport wherever possible and we support venues who share our environmental principles including Huntstile Organic Farm and The Longhouse, Bruton.  Our offices are entirely wood-fired, water is supplied by a rainwater harvesting system.  We are members of our local food co-operative and we use environmentally friendly products such as recycled paper and Pilot Greentech pens and try to be aware of our environmental impact at every opportunity.  Please email for more information on our eco-credentials.
